Session activities
Every Presbyterian congregation has a session composed of the minister and ruling elders. The ruling Elders are elected by the members
of the congregation and serve in the office for life. The Minister of the congregation presides as the Moderator of Session.
The
ministries of session centre upon leadership, nurture and pastoral care of the members and adherents of the congregation. Session
also overseas the observance of the sacraments, time and place of worship, the stewardship and spiritual nurturing of the congregation
along with all aspects of Christian education.
Session meets regularly on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in
the Church Hall and at such other times when deemed necessary. Meetings of Session are not open to the congregation.
