Our Family Member's Testimonials
This is probably the most wonderful experience a Christian can have, when sometime somewhere in your life you had a huge problem,
you prayed about it, and God spoke directly to you. It may be a voice that speaks to you, or just this "unexplained" clear knowledge
in your mind on what you had to do. Or someone would come along and bring God's piece with them.
Some of our members have graciously
agreed to provide some testimony as to what God means to their lives.
Hi. I'm 31 years old and when I was asked to put my faith into words, the first thought was, ME!? You want me to say something? Then
I sat down and did some praying and thinking. 1999 has been the worst year of my life, but looking back now, I can see God's presence
through all the rotten times. There were many times that I screamed and yelled at God because of what was happening to me, but He
never turned His face away. No matter how mad I was, or how nasty I was being to Him, He kept me going. When I thought I was alone,
God always had someone from our Church family there, whether it was crying on their shoulder, helping me with Lindsay (our 2year daughter)
or bringing enough food to feed an army. There are still times that I question why all this had to happen, the main one being why
my newborn daughter got so sick and died, but one thing I've learned is that God loves us and is with us every step of the way. When
we falter, He's the one doing the walking; He carries us through the troubled times. Something that came to me on one of my screaming
fits was this: God lost a child too. He knows the pain of a parent who has lost a child. That in itself was a comfort.
I'm one of the
leaders/singers in the music group that David & Alex mentioned and there's never any doubt in my mind that God's presence surrounds
us. I can feel His presence when we sing our praise songs and I know that He will never turn His back on me, no matter what. I've
seen His love in action. God doesn't promise that the road will be smooth, but He does promise that He'll never forsake us.
" I lift
up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and Earth. He will not let
your foot slip - he who watches over you will not slumber; Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep." Psalm
121:1-4
God's Blessings to you all.
