Book Review by Jack Falt

Isachsen, Olaf, Joining the Entrepreneurial Elite Davis-Black, Palo Alto, CA, 1996, ISBN: 0-89106-090-1,155 pp

This short book review was written for the Ontario Association for the Application of Personality Type newsletter Tell~A~Type, Spring 1999.

What makes the entrepreneur special? Do you have to be a specific temperament? This book looks at how each of the temperaments approach striking out on their own and setting up a business. Isachsen examines some of the top entrepreneurs in the country and shows how their temperament has influenced the kind of product or service they offer. Each temperament also has its unique way of operating a business.

This would be a very useful book for anyone thinking about setting up a business of their own. It would help people know themselves better and show them some of the keys to being successful. Not only does it show what they need to bring to the enterprise, but what talents they need to recruit to make the venture successful.
