· Dominant Function

This table was created to relate the four temperaments to the Jungian functions. The 16 types are arranged in the temperament matrix developed by David Keirsey and Linda Berens. The lovemate names were designated by David Keirsey. The names of the eight functions were designated by Linda Berens and Susan Nash. I have used the colours for the basic four functions as designated by Jung, using the darker colour for the extraverted functions and the paler colours for the introverted functions. As it isn't possible to make simple tables with both two and four cells across, the temperament titles are above the groups of four types below. The types are written showing which function is extraverted and which is introverted. I.e. ENeFiP = ENTP with Intuiting extravereted and Feeling introverted. The dominant function is desginated by a "§".
