Before this time citizens of Norwich have appointed certain burgesses of Lynn their attorneys to sell their merchandise stored in various places within Lynn, and given them keeping of their keys for that purpose, to the damage of the community. It is therefore ordained that no burgess henceforth be the attorney of the said citizens, nor others, for the storage and sale of such merchandise, nor receive the keys of houses where such merchandise rests with the intent that they become its guardians, upon penalty of 20s. for each conviction.
